Top Gear has turned its stellar production values loose on the GT-R. In the interest of compelling television, it's not just a review. In pursuit of hilariousness, May and Hamster set off on a bullet train to see if they can beat Clarkson to the final destination. It takes about the duration of the ride for Clarkson to figure out what half the buttons in the GT-R do, and May and Hammond don't have it any easier trying to communicate in Japanese to do simple things like figure out the train system and buy tickets. Hilarity follows, with part 1&2 after the jump. Click below for the video...

Hummer's newest product, which features a full crew cab and a 5-foot-long bed, starts at $31,495 — just slightly more than the conventional H3. But GM is mum about pricing for the top-of-the-line 2009 Hummer H3T Alpha. [SOURC: edmunds.com READ THE FULL ARTICLE]

Why you should buy the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8:
You love America and everything it stands for. You break out in hives at the thought of restoring an old '71 Challenger, but still want to live life looking good, moving fast and bleeding red, white and blue. Your nickname was "Super Soul" or your last name is "Kowalski."

Sure, they'll say it's for safety, driving on excessively worn tires is dangerous, but something more sinister is afoot. German firm ProContour has developed a tire tread depth measuring system that beams a laser at the wheels of passing vehicles and takes 430 million measurements per second to develop a three-dimensional profile of that tire.

Yearning to relive the muscle era is passé. We're ready to relive the days of high-horsepower super-stock specials being built at the factory. Forty years after Chrysler built its original drag-track specials, the 2009 Dodge Challenger Drag Race Package allows us to do just that.
While
vehicle technology has changed tremendously over the past forty years,
the premise behind the Drag Race Package cars hasn't: pack plenty of
power into a car while stripping out the portly non-essentials. Given
the 4140-lb curb weight of the 2008 Challenger SRT8, there was plenty
of material for engineers to strip.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed wrapped up on Sunday after three days of pure motorsports Heaven. While we would have liked to have posted a gallery or two a day from the event, internet issues kept us from sharing anything else after firing off our initial couple of posts. To make up for it we have a few massive galleries of goodness from Goodwood planned. We start today with some highlights, but will try to show some of the special categories individually too in later posts

You would think a car company with BMW's brand recognition could roll out its redesigned flagship 7 Series covered in burlap at a mid-December reveal in Siberia with no concerns over public perception, but BMW apparently feels the up-and-coming Russian market needs to be romanced with a glitzy intro right in the middle of Red Square. That's where the carmaker held the official unveiling (though we already got the official photos earlier this month) July 8th.
For two days, the 7-Series was hidden in 180,000 silver balls that filled a giant glass-and-acrylic hourglass almost 40 feet tall that had been built right in front of the Kremlin. Then, on the night of the 8th, as 400 invited guests watched, the top of the hourglass emptied to reveal the car...
