Saturday, 02 August 2008

Not sure what they were thinking here. OZ make some decent wheels but this combination of a red USDM 2009 Nissan GT-R and chrome 20″s featured on the latest Tire Rack wholesale catalog is certainly not something I would do. Anyway if you were at all interested in other wheels by O.Z, Tire Rack have updated their website with a selection of three new wheels to suit.

2009 Honda hybrid system cost to be cut in half!
Saturday, 02 August 2008

Looking like a cross between the FCX Clarity fuel cell car and the Toyota Prius, Honda's upcoming dedicated hybrid model should come in at a cost a bit lower than current hybrid models. Part of that lower price is due to the fact that Honda has literally cut the cost of its Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) technology in half when compared to the system currently being used in the Civic Hybrid. Apparently, Honda's engineers have managed to simplify the IMA's complicated mechanicals, making it smaller and easier to package in the process.

2009 BMW 750i / 750Li - First Drive Review
Thursday, 31 July 2008

A somewhat less honorable way to stand out is to at first purposely hold back and then impressively show huge improvement. Has BMW done just that with its 7-series? Even though the new, fifth-generation 7-series follows suit as the technology pacesetter by adding a bunch of high-tech features including active suspension damping, rear-wheel steering, night vision with pedestrian detection, lane-change warning, and side-view cameras, the biggest news is BMW’s backpedaling from some of the previous 7’s, uh, “breakthroughs.” More below...
