Arnold To Automakers: Stop Whining! |
A CO2 emission in CA is a never-ending battle. The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers recently met with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger present their side. The Alliance projected that CA should lower proposed limits on carbon-dioxide emissions for better fuel economy sake. The Feds regulate an average 31.6 mpg by 2015, they comment CA order for lower emissions is unnecessary and would result in a mess of fuel regulations across the country. Truthfully California is the only state allowed to pass its own emissions standards under Fed law.
Arnold was not buying the auto alliance’s case remarking "The train
has left the station," according to an Associated Press report. The
Governor more crushed the Alliance case with some tough talk, saying,
"While you’re whining, you should be creating new technologies. That’s
how you meet the date."
