Alpine introduces the next generation ultimate iPod Solution: the iDA-X100. It’s simply the best way to control your iPod in the car– enjoy seamless operation of your iPod in addition to full control of all your favorite media sources. The 2008 iDA series of head units are dedicated receivers that provide seamless control of your iPod and many other popular digital devices. Control your iPod directly from the receiver and find songs quickly as you expect to find them on your iPod, via Artist, Playlist, Album, Genre, Podcast, or Composer and more. Expand your media – these digital receivers are equipped to add on additional media sources to enjoy services like HD Radio, Satellite Radio, CD Changer, and other auxiliary sources.

Customize your Display
Download background images from Alpine’s iPersonalize website to a USB memory device, then upload them to the iDA-X100. The iDA-X100 also comes with selectable dual illumination – choose from blue or red to match the lighting on your dash.
Get New Songs on the Go
Add Alpine's new HD Radio™ module (TUA-T550HD), and when you hear a song you like, simply press and hold the Quick Search button on the iDA-X100. This iTunes Tagging feature lets you Tag songs you hear on HD Radio stations and stores the info on your iPod. The next time you connect your iPod to iTunes, you will be able to preview your selections, and you can later purchase and download them from iTunes.
Bluetooth® Hands-Free
Don’t fuss or fiddle with your phone and say goodbye to uncomfortable headsets and earpieces. Get the convenience of carrying on phone conversations in your car*, hands-free!
This unit is Bluetooth ready so you can add a KCE-300BT adapter to pair up your cell phone with your head unit. Now make and receive phone calls conveniently with both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. View caller information including caller ID, missed, dialed, received calls, and even phonebook right from the head unit display. Speak using the microphone supplied with the KCE-300BT, then listen through your car’s speakers. You can even set up your cell phone/head unit to automatically answer your calls and even have your phone automatically connect as soon as you start your car. With select compatible phones with streaming audio capability, you can listen to and control music stored on your phone and have it stream through your Alpine system.
The Beauty of USB for Other Devices
In addition to iPods, you can connect MP3 players like the Zune2, iRiver Clix, Creative Zen, or Toshiba Gigabeat, using the MTP protocol or even connect USB memory devices like thumbdrives and USB hard drvies. Song lists on USB devices are displayed in alphabetical order, and the unit will find music files while ignoring other file types.
Full Speed AUX input using KCE-236B Full Speed to mini-jack cable Don't have an iPod? You can still enjoy audio from your favorite MP3 media devices or certain cell phone through Full Speed Aux+ feature. Just plug in the optional KCE-236B to almost any device and listen through your Alpine system. The KCE-236B comes complete with a 3.5mm stereo connector, perfect for most headphone jacks and even includes a 1.5mm stereo adapter perfect for many popular cell phones.
Note: MP3 device or cell phone cannot be independently controlled through the head unit.
All Digital HD Radio
Alpine does HD. Get all the music and programming you want to hear in crystal-clear digital format (TUA-T500HD required). FM stations with CD-quality sound, AM stations with FM-quality sound, and virtually no distortion. Multicasting technology allows access to additional free music channels provided by most major radio stations. Enjoy more talk and music content from more stations without paying additional subscription fees.
iTunes® Tagging

Satellite Radio Ready
This unit is Satellite Radio Ready, (additional adapters and subscription required), so you can expand and enjoy a wider array of stations. Take your pick – with SIRIUS or XM, Alpine brings your choice of satellite radio inside your car. Add the KCA-SC100 interface for your portable SIRIUS Plug-n-Play device and get automatic Game Alert and Song Alert services, plus convenient program replay and pause functions. (compatible SIRIUS portable or SC-C1 required, features vary dependant on feature set of selected portable)
Aux Input (using the KCA-121B)
Got a DVD player? Gaming console? Connect additional sources through Alpine's Ai-NET with ease using the optional KCA-121B.
Steering Wheel Remote Ready
This receiver is compatible with the steering wheel remote controls available in many vehicles. You can take out your factory radio, put in the Alpine, and still have the convenience of operating your sound system from the steering wheel. Ask your dealer for available interfaces.
Super-Fast USB Connection
The iDA-X100 uses a USB connection (cable included) for newer iPods that provides ultra-fast digital data transfer, so songs are loaded instantly through the receiver. Sound quality is maximized by using USB along with the 24-Bit D/A converter, allowing for an incredible Signal to Noise ratio of 105dB. Plus, the iDA-X100 quickly loads up full Album Art on screen.
Full Speed Connection for iPod
Connect your iPod using the KCE-422i cable (optional), and you’ve got access to all your iPod music, right from your receiver. With Full Speed you get full control so you can scroll through all your Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Songs – and view all your song information right from the display on your iDA-X100 receiver.
QuickSearch
Tons of music? Find it fast! With Alpine’s exclusive QuickSearch technology, you’ll be able to find what you want, the quickest and easiest way possible. With so many ways to listen to thousands of songs, now you can get super-fast access to Artists, Albums, Playlists, Songs, and radio stations. Large control buttons and a convenient Rotary Encoder Knob make it easy to scroll through all your sources, including your iPod, HD Radio, Satellite Radio, and CD Changer. No interruptions, while you search, just let the Alpine play.
Percentage Search
For especially big music libraries, Alpine created the Percentage Search function to use the preset buttons for quick jumps to specific parts of the list. Why scroll through each song one by one, when you can just jump to a segment of your library?
Alphabet Search
Alpine gives you even more ways to find your favorite music. No need to sift through each song one-by-one. Use Alphabet Search to jump through your lengthy list of music by skipping through the letters of the alphabet. Once you have the letter you want, just scroll to the exact song!
