Too sexy for CO2? Try the Hermes smart fortwo |
Fashion house Hermes doesn't discriminate between the highest
performing supercars on the planet or the lowest emitting microcars.
After supplying its luxury expertise to the Bugatti Veyron,
the designers at Hermes have bestowed their colorific wisdom on the
smart fortwo. Inside the little mini-mobile, every interior surface is
covered in either leather or Hermes own Toile H canvas. Even the
tridion safety cell gets covered in the tweed. There are 9 colors to
choose from, including Hermes' classic orange and other bright hues
such as gold, lime and pink. No changes are made to the car's
powertrain or suspension, making this a package for the fashionista
crowd only (which is fine, there are other tuners
for an extra oomph). Hermes took on the project to commemorate the
tenth birthday of the smart brand, and anybody with an extra $48,500
(!) in U.S. dollars or 38,000 euros to spend on a new car is welcome to
join in on the celebration. Thanks for the tip, JW!
